Meet Dani
Dani Hickman is a seasoned mental health professional with over 13 years of experience in the field. Her career began in community mental health, working with adults navigating addiction. In 2013, Dani took her expertise abroad, collaborating with Come Back Mission in Johannesburg, South Africa to design and implement an inpatient therapeutic treatment program for women overcoming addiction, trauma, abuse and human trafficking.
Dani’s work has also focused on children and teens, providing trauma-informed, intensive in-home psychotherapy. She has worked with Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services as a trainer and home study assessor, equipping prospective foster parents with the tools and knowledge to provide trauma-informed care for children placed in the foster care system.
Passionate for women’s empowerment, Dani specializes in helping women transition from lives of self-abandonment to lives of E.A.S.E—embodied, authentic self-expression. She achieves this through group coaching, webinars, and retreats with The Sacred Rebel Collective.
Dani’s dedication to trauma-informed care is reflected in her extensive training and certifications, including Reiki (as a Reiki Master), Brainspotting, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and somatic/attachment focused EMDR. Her eclectic approach integrates these modalities as well as inner child work and internal family systems to support holistic well-being.
Committed to community collaboration, Dani has partnered with local Nashville nonprofits, including Day 7, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, and Nurture the Next, providing group coaching and support.
Dani also shares her expertise through podcasting. Since 2020 she has launched three projects, including her latest, This Week in Life, which debuted in 2025. Focused on mental and spiritual health, the podcast honors the human experience by exploring life’s ups and downs while offering lessons from her work and personal growth journey.
